Facing and Sitting

Hi,
I have a question! see file attached
The apartment is at the fifth floor were I draw the red line. When the architects have built the house they have drawn the sitting at the west end the facing at the est. The windows have the same dimensions at the west and the est. Football is played very often. The entrance moore used is the one for everyone at the est.
I don't see the real sitting and real facing of this building!!!
Can someone help in finding out the facing of this building? Thanks a lot.

Dear Maria,

As far as I know you would use the entrance door of the apartment itself to determine facing direction, not the entrance of the entire building.
Because the entrance door is the main in and out toward outside world for this apartment unit.
This will probably make one of the walls with windows as the sitting direction, but that's not unusual and also pretty common with normal houses.
But better ask one of our members who is more specialized in the feng shui.

Anyway. I wonder where you got this detailed air photo. It looks different from Google Earth pictures.
Did you also take this from internet somewhere?

Wonderful picture.
I am not on a place but I think, that in this case it is better to look from within apartments
In multi-storey houses usually facing there where the greatest windows and most of all a sunlight
And at good architecture coincides with a front entrance in the house.
I hope it will help you to define on a place.

Hi Maria,

this building has the facing in the east, I'd say, but its has got a weak sitting.
So, I agree with Danny.
Concerning the apartment in the building - that's another story.
Generally spoken, I'd assume that it has the same facing as the building (in this special case), but, on the other hand, it might have also its own facing from the apartment door.
You probably will have to draw several charts and then have to find out which one is the most probable one.

This apartment facing issue might be somehow irritating or puzzling to you...
Three people, three opinions.

Ok, a building has got a facing and an apartment has got a facing, too. Often they are the same, but its also not rare that they are different.
That's where the abilities or the consultant come into the game:
- where is the most Yang?
- where is the most activity?
- from which of the possible sides can the Yang Qi really (!) enter the building?
- Air is a much better Qi carrier than light and its much more important, too.
(what can you stand longer - being without air or being without light?)
- how many people carry Qi into the apartment? The more movement at the door, the higher the probability that this is the yang side.

So, from my experience, the side from which Yang Qi does enter the apartment most of the time - thats the facing of the apartment.
This can be the "big windows"-side, but it also can be the apartment door, even when its opening to the hallway inside the building.

this is the plant of the apartment
is indicated (see drawing)
- North
- Entry apartment
- The most yang
- More activities (red circle).

Here lives two people
They work all day outside home
They meet in the evening for dinner

I draw three chart with:

Facing at East ("entry apartment")

Facing at South ("most activity - inside and outside")
and enter the yang qi

Facing at West ("big-windows")
