Releasing the Noble Eight from the Central Palace

This blog is a story about the struggles and triumphs within the context of remodeling a 1940's home that was once a church. The house is located in Laguna Beach, California on the North side of town on Coast Highway.
Marinko, my late husband gave me the home six years ago. The house was a church in the 60's and was in a complete state of disrepair. I have spent much time and money to improve the house. Classical feng shui told me the house was in a condition that was equivalent to a country with a jailed president. The house felt lonely and depressing. The renter living there at the time could not make money and her love relationship was failing. After she moved in her life ran downhill. The solution to the problem was to open the center of the house to the facing. I had consulted a more seasoned feng shui practitioner and asked him to help me with the house. One of the things he warned me about was over spending. Did I listen to him? Basically, after the project is finished I have had to move out of the state of California and live in an old mining town, called Clifton, Arizona. Why? I needed to run and hide with the little bit of money I had left. I also have knowledge of my chinese four pillars and with the incoming rat year I knew the strong water would very much contribute to the lovely feeling of being "washed away." I felt it was a good time to go somewhere with earth everywhere. In fact, their mining copper. Anyways, back to the house. I would like for you to see it on one of its websites. I am going to work on making one for the house which I have marketed as a vacation rental. It is crazy because I think I went completely insane with the house. I took the house to its highest level. The noble eight has been released and runs around the house with joy. I know this to be true because recently some renters told me about their children laughing and running through the house. She kept remarking how happy they were. Before I remodeled her she was constipated. Facing the ocean, (190 degrees south, period 4) on the left side of the house is a big living room with cathedral ceilings which served as the meeting place for the chuch goers. On the other side was 5 rooms! 1 bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, galley kitchen and dining room but all the rooms were really small with low ceilings. The center of the house was a closet. I have had only two bookings and I really need to figure out what to do to make the house rent more? It is all about timing. The house I moved into is very old. The house here in Clfiton was built in 1875. There are no records to confirm any remodeling. I will later post the star chart for the house. We could argue about the period of the house but I am going to guess it is period one with 130 degree facing. I do not like the central palace combo of 2ms 9ws. I will be sure to not live here when we go to period 9 because the walls here are two feet thick! I will talk more about this house and the experience of working on getting the vacation rental in a better financial state.
