There is an old Chinese prediction, coming from "双龙会"：「有圣人出，玄色其冠，龙章其服」，即是「黑龙」壬辰2012年。This says that a sage will occur and "black dragon", so some people relate it to the year of 2012 (Ren chen - Water Dragon year). But these kinds of interpretations are very doubtful.

Hi Yifengshui,

I was also told by a reliable clairvoyant person who I experienced as a sincere one that there will be some kind of tsunami disasters all over the world in the not too far future because of suddenly rising sealevels.
The question is when does panic making starts and when some preparation is useful.
Is it ego to use knowledge to be prepared and to move elsewhere when living in an unsafe place? What about all the other people? To evacuate millions of people is nearly impossible.
I don´t have an answer on that.

I remember 1976, when some were predicting the end of the world.
Then 1987, some rare planetary convergence would bring enormous chances to our planet..
Then we had the year 2000, same thing: computers would fail worldwide, nuclear centrals would blow up as a result, no electricty, chaos, etcetera...
We all know what happened in these years: nothing very special

Now this hype about year 2012.
Seems like for some reason these doomsday hypes always center around Dragon years.

I only know one thing from a metaphysical point of view.
Very rare events of unpredictable nature happen when nobody expects them, they do not happen when everybody expects them.

Of course, there will be changes and catastrophes in 2012, just like we have them in every other year.
The only difference will be that some people will blame it on the year 2012.

If the last year financial crisis had come in 2012, then people would be taking it as evidence of how the 2012 prophecy is coming true.
If the Southeast Asia tsunami disaster had come in 2012, we would be blaming it on year 2012.
And so on..

I agree that 2012 is a year that we will have problems related to earth and water. 2012 is an water dragon year. Dragon is the grave of water, and in 2012 the stem of the year yang water is telling us that this grave is opening up showing us the water. There will be floods and earthquakes related to water.
